Courtney Milne - September 2010 Cover Text
From Courtney Milne's extraordianry collection of images of his swimming pool, in all moods of the day and of the seasons...
By mid-morning, the pool drew me close to its transcendent
veneer. Hoarfrost rimmed the fragile leaves and stems, causing them to
appear even more vulnerable and brittle to the eye.
What spirits skate here, weightless, and cautious not to announce their
presence by even the slightest contact with nature's artwork?
Oh how I would love to shrink to the size of a mite, to glide through this
sculpture garden. What do we miss by being our giant selves, lumbering
across the Earth, oblivious to the universe beneath us that beckons to be
noticed?
Today, I invite you to sense the magnetic pull of worlds at your feet that are
guaranteed to come to life through your awareness of them.
