A variety of approaches are possible in healing research, including individual case studies, qualitative research, patient satisfaction surveys, clinical reports, randomized controlled studies, and more.
There are many potential pitfalls in designing and reporting studies of healing. Of the 200 published studies I reviewed in Healing Research, Volume I, 75% had serious flaws or omissions in design or reporting.
