Wikipedia is an open access encyclopedia that is a global community project. Anyone can make an entry to update or add a subject. Wikipedia was getting 14,000 page views per minute at the start of 2007 and has over a million and a half articles in English, and lesser numbers in about 50 other languages.

The accuracy of what is included is an interesting subject to track as regards Wholistic Healing.

Alternative Medicine, for instance, is presented in very guarded language as of some benefit but deserving a lot of caution. Evidence for CAM modalities is minimized and warnings about CAM modalities are emphasized.

Curious to see what an insertion about the hazards of conventional medicine would bring by way of responses, I inserted the following:

What is clear, is that Alternative Medicine is much safer than conventional medicine, which kills over 200,000 people annually and is the fourth leading cause of death in the United States. There are only very rare fatalities with Alternative Medicine.

I re-entered it. Same result.

It would appear that there are vested interests promoting views that are disparaging to Wholistic Healing and protecting the image of conventional medicine.
