We are very disappointed to have had only 20 questionnaires returned to us on readers' evaluations and suggestions for improvement of the Newsletter.  Five were first time readers and fifteen had read more than one issue, many of the latter indicating they had read 3-4 issues.  Here is a copy of the questionnaire with the tallies of readers' responses, inserted in bold italics:

I would suggest the following changes in format or layout:
Photos of authors with articles
More professional layout and quality of paper
 Illustration/photo on cover
Peaceful pictures to accompany poems
Double column page format  

We shall take the above as representative of our readership.  The Newsletter seems to be on track in most regards.  We shall continue to mail out questionnaires with issue No. 6 and welcome all comments and suggestions.

  We shall include poetry/prose as healing only occasionally.

  Advertisements are absolutely essential to our existence, and we must in fact seek more to increase our revenues if we are to be financially viable. 

  We are unable, under present financial circumstances, to upgrade the quality of the layout or paper of the Newsletter, nor can we include photographs except where essential to the content of an article.  We shall seek some variety for the cover illustrations.

  Readers' help is seriously needed to increase subscriptions and advertisements.
