THE CAT'S PAW NEBULA What are ye orbs? The words of God? The Scriptures of the skies? - Philip James Bailey

The Cat’s Paw Nebula (NGC 6334) is a complex star formation region consisting of several fragments from a giant collapsed cloud of molecular gas and dust. These star nurseries progress through evolutionary stages: the one at the top left has its newly born stars still embedded in the gas cloud from which they formed while at the top right, the stars have partly blown away their nascent shroud and are directly visible. The stars surrounded only be a bluish reflection nebula have almost completely destroyed their part of the nursery.
IJHC - WHR Observations
The stars above have always stimulated images and fantasies. As we look deeper and deeper into space, aided by incredible technologies of space telescopes and cameras and light that travels distances beyond our imagination, we see in our mind's eye the paw of an earthly cat. The Cheshire cate of Alice in Wonderland must be smiling at this one!
