NOTES FROM A DOCTOR-HEALER IN WARSAW

Dr Stefania Szantyr-Powolny

The truth about a man is enclosed between a myth and scientific knowledge
                                                               Professor Wlodzimierz Sedlak

The power of twentieth century medicine seems to be unquestionable.  Pharmacological achievements (such as antibiotics), surgery, technical equipment and increased knowledge about different illnesses have helped to control disease and reduce deaths.  But at the same time, rapid growth of civilisation decreased immunity of human organisms.  There have appeared many illnesses connected with circulation, breathing, allergies, cancers and addictions.  There is also a distinct rise in psychosomatic illnesses.  Classical allopathic medicine often is helpless to deal with many of these.  It is no wonder that more and more people turn to alternative medicine and unconventional approaches.
What do we know of bioenergy therapy?
I am a medical doctor and have been a bioenergy practitioner for twelve years.  I have followed the improvements in my patients and collected documentation on bioenergy therapy treatments.  Though the results are impressive, we are still searching for ways to explain them.
Let me share a few examples from my work.  There is a clinic of the Society for Deaf Children in Warsaw where I have seen over 500 patients as a bioenergy therapist.  The children suffer from the full range of causes of deafness.  Work at this clinic illustrates a good example of co-operation between medical staff and bioenergy therapists.  The specialist examines patients and tests their hearing with an audiometer.  He then refers the patients for bioenergy therapy.  After several sessions the audiometer test is repeated.
A few examples will illustrate the effects of the bioenergy therapy treatment.
  1. Patient Z.L., 25 years old, had been deaf in both ears for 22 years because of streptomycin toxicity at age two.  On his fourth visit I was really moved when he entered the room and announced: "Doctor!  I can hear!  I can hear water in the bathroom.  I can hear my mother saying something in the room next to mine.  I can hear a dog barking."  See Figure 1 for an audiogram that shows the changes with his treatment.
Is there anything more wonderful and satisfying than such a response?
I must admit that such miraculous achievements as the one I shared are not very frequent.  Sometimes patients need more treatments.
What is important is that the improvements with bioenergy therapy occur in the range of  high tones.  These are due to alterations in the nerves of the ear, where conventional medicine cannot offer treatment.  The audiograms repeatedly have shown these changes.
Work in my clinic is a good example of co-operation between doctors and bioenergy therapists.  Together with the specialist we have come to the conclusion that bioenergy overcomes blockages in growth of the central nervous system.  Improvements in hearing are often connected with improvements in speaking abilities and abilities to communicate, so vital to the psychological, social and educational development of children.
  2. Patient P.Z., age 9, suffered since infancy from bed-wetting.  He was examined by many specialists because this was very troublesome to him.  It was interfering with his socialising with other children and he was starting to develop different complexes.  After five treatments the boy kissed me spontaneously, telling me his problems had disappeared.
Specialists are not able to explain what functions and in what systems bioenergy therapy produces changes.  With bed-wetting I find about 98 percent have positive results.
  3. Patient C.K., age 35, had suffered for many years because of failure of the bones to knit after a fracture of his right leg.  He had undergone many different surgical operations, including one with the Elizarow method, without positive results.
He came to see me, walking with crutches, supported by a metal brace on his leg.  His attitude to unconventional medicine was rather negative.  After the third treatment he had a new X-ray and it was evident that the bone had started to knit.  The surgeon following the patient acknowledged this.  We met six more times.  Half a year later I found him walking easily, without crutches or brace.  He was very grateful for what I had done.

Alternative methods of medicine cannot replace conventional medicine and I would never suggest we even consider this.  These methods can be used to save human lives and reduce suffering.   They should be known and available to al people in the world.  Fortunately, the world of conventional medicine is increasingly in agreement with this.
Science is not eager to accept some old laws of Nature.  We know that apples have been falling from trees for ages, but only Newton could give a scientific explanation for this phenomenon.  Research work on bioenergy therapists, can open a new era in alternative medicine.  At present we should enjoy every single possibility given to us by Nature, using all approaches to help others and ourselves.  No one knows what potentials are hidden in human beings.
Healing gifts, present in many people without their awareness, should be developed as much as possible.
We are pleased to find that in Poland today there are many different centres of unconventional medicine as well as individual practitioners using different methods.  The State licenses bioenergy therapists when they can prove their abilities through very rigorous tests in diagnosis and treatment under the Bioenergy Section of the Psychotronic Society.  Medical schools are introducing courses in bioenergy therapy, acupuncture, homoeopathy, iridology and more.
I want to stress one thing.  Each session with a person has physical - psychic - spiritual aspects.  The hands of a healer discover energetic disturbances over ill places and transform healing energy, needed to restore balance and normal functioning.  The most important thing in all bioenergy therapists is their approach to people.  They must love their fellow men, should be warm and kind-hearted to everyone, and should want to help others.
Very often conventional health carers and patients must be taught how to treat health in a holistic way.  One ought to remember about a unity between body, mind and spirit.  Harmony between living things, including humans, and the environment is a necessary condition to one's well being.
In this crazy, hectic life which seeks to conquer the world we should know how to say 'No!'  No to selfish thinking.  No to negative feelings.  Start to be positive!
As a medical doctor and a bioenergy therapist I would like to suggest a simple prescription:
3 times daily, for 10 minutes:
               Calm down and meditate
Hold kindness in your heart for others
               Smile, smile more often.

These observations were shared on the Healing in Medical Practice panel at the Healing Energy Medicine Conference
