IJHC – WHR Observations
Autism is a stigmatizing diagnosis for many people. Parents often torture themselves with questions of how they might have contributed to its development. The cost to society through special education needs are enormous.
It is wonderful to see examples such as this, in which an autistic person has unusual gifts that can bring pleasure and wonderment to others, as well as providing a positive social recognition for these people themselves.
