Integration of psychological and spiritual awareness and healing, other complementary therapies, psychoneuroimmunology, and wholistic approaches as whole-person care with conventional medicine and psychotherapy, with particular interest in students and caregivers.

Promoting and teaching self-healing approaches, particularly WHEE: Wholistic Hybrid derived from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Refinement of professional standards of practice and ethics for spiritual healing, energy medicine, and other complementary therapies.

Promotion of research in complementary therapies.

Exploring the clinical efficacy of wholistic healing in treatment of psychological problems (e.g. stress/ anxiety, physical and emotional pain, depression), physical problems (e.g. burns, healing of wounds and fractures, intrauterine fetal growth retardation) and of spiritual healing in combination with the deliberate use of suggestion for improvement.

Enhancing the efficacy of medical and nursing staff through care of the caregiver, helping caregiver to use themselves personally as more effective instruments for healing; dealing with compassion fatigue.

Love/ unconditional acceptance as an instrument for healing.

The placebo reaction as a clinical tool for self-healing.

Self-healing through WHEE: Whole Health, Easily and Effectively (AKA Wholistic Hybrid derived from EMDR and EFT), relaxation, meditation, imagery (psychoneuroimmunology) for physical problems, emotional components (dis-ease) of disease (in people with cancer, backaches, headaches, arthritis, arteriosclerotic and other types of cardiovascular disease, etc.).

Imagery, metaphor, and stories as constructs for understanding the etiology of dis-ease and disease and as instruments for healing.

Healing into death as a positive medical and nursing intervention.
